MOSCOW/YAKUTSK, Aug 16 (PRIME) -- Operations on the Denisovskaya mine of Russian coal producer Kolmar in the republic of Yakutia were suspended due to a fire on a supporting power utility, an official in the regional emergency services told PRIME on Friday.
“The mine has been disconnected from electric power, works have been suspended,” the official said, adding that there were no victims and about 60 miners were evacuated.
The regional office of the Emergency Ministry said that power supply to the mine would be restored in two to two and a half hours.
